Extensive breakfast buffet is fresh and plentiful.
Top Tip
3 mins walk to new Opera house. 10 mins walk to Akker Brygge where all the trendy restaurants are.
Buy the Oslo Pass if you want to use the ferries & visit museums. Well worth it.

Very cosy small hotel with very nice 'romantic' rooms (luxury upgrade) with a good atmosphere. Because Oslo is very very expensive, this hotel is perfect for (free!) nice food and drinks. Nice fresh coffee, tea and hot chocolate and waffles all day. Breakfast is good, and in weekends until 11am! (perfect) :-) The dinner buffet depends on the main meal but definitely OK for 1 evening. A lot of cold fish and salads.

Make a day trip to 'the Marka' take train 1 up into the hills and get off last stop and walk in the forest. And don't miss the famous Vigeland park: beautiful.

Hotel was ok although it wasn't exactly what we were expecting and it was not in the best area of the town.

Ok hotel, i upgraded my room, as the standard was quite small grubby and had no bath and not what i expected for the price. Location must be the roughest in oslo! hookers and smash heads all around that area. Staff were very friendly and good fun. i probably would stay again.

Oslo is crazy expensive!
food and drink is too expensive to reaaly have a good time. Olso is a nice city though. 8 quid a beer is just a rip off and 15quid for a steak sandwich and chips is just rubbish!
parks and castles are quite good in a bland sort of way! I dont think olso is worth a weekend for the cost. much better euro cities for a weekend break.

A "single" room is not the same as one expects in The States - or even other countries in Europe. It was 1 narrow little bed with no room to turn around in (much less put my suitcase someplace). The staff was happy to put me in a "double" room with no extra charge.
