All staff weree polite and helpful at all times. This hotel is about 5 mins walk from the harbour and its eating places, 5 mins from the main street. 1o min walk from the Opera house and about 30 mins walk from the Sculpture Park ( which is well worth a visit).
Top Tip
I was pushing a wheelchair. The pavements are not great for getting on and off of.

Pretty much the center to everything one might want to see in Oslo.
The price is expensive, but everything in Oslo is expensive compared to other countries.

Teatercafeen on ground floor is an institution in Oslo, making this an hotel with true Norwegian atmosphere. Very comfortable beds and pillows and clean pleasant bathroom. Very attentive staff, such a pity that Norway is so expensive, Oslo is hard to beat, especially in good weather in May!
Top Tip
Walk in Slottsparken, try early dinner in Teatercafeen, before 7pm, a good deal, sandwich and cake option in Grand Cafeen in afternoon.

We had a room on the 7th floor but it was still very noisey, also the air conditioning hardly worked but we did have extremely hot weather. Very good breakfasts and friendly staff.

Expensive, but well worth it. Great breakfast too.
Top Tip
Forget taxis and car hire. Use city buses and trams, buy a day or weekly ticket for best value.
