Excellent proximity to railway station means that this hotel is less convenient for the city centre.
Breakfast was superb.
Staff were attentive and friendly.

We travelled 27th December 2008 for 3 days. Bad start to the trip when we were given a room that was already taken by someone.
Given an upgrrade to bussiness class then felt like we were forgot about, i.e no records of our room at breakfast, Then the breakfast was not hot.beds not made, until I asked if we could have our room serviced.Internet supossed to be free, but went of after a day and when tried to reconnect, no record of anyone in the room.
Irish bar closed, hotel restaurant closed until our last day, not informed of this before and price did not reflect this. a bit dissapointed in general would stay in another hotel if we came again.

Found a nice restaurant Brazzeri 45, just past the scatting ring on the left hand corner.
Take hand warmers in winter.

Though not hotels fault very little to eat in hotel on Sundays restaurant closed, room service menu limited and very expensive as all is in Oslo, Galway bar menu limited for fat free diners, breakfast excellent. Pool too cold to enjoy not suitable for people with walking difficulties as access is up a spiral staircase. All in all excellent, warm and comfortable. Excellent location for Train service to all areas right next to Central station and major shopping areas.

For real Norwegian cuisine try Mauds on Tollbugata 24, just a 10 min. walk from the hotel. Go see the Kon-Tiki Bus 30, also Viking Ships and Folk museum. Another good place is the Resistance Museum.
