rooms a bit limited, but OSLO was our holiday, not the hotel. Buffet Breakfast excellent. Public transport (tram/bus) AT the door! and just a few stops to town centre.
Top Tip
Buy OSLO PASS, BUT... plan your day carefully to take in enough attractions to make a profit. Study the booklet first. NB: the 24-hours only starts from the moment you click the card in a bus/tram for first use.
Suggested; tram to AkerBrygge, ferry 91 to Bygdoy, see Viking Ships, Bus 30 to see FRAM. Ferry home, Metro T1 to Holmenkollen for SkiJump Tower, metro etc to Munch Museum. etc.
Nobel Peace centre is DISAPPOINTING - all high-tech display but not much info.
NAVESEN is a chain of "corner-shops" and they sell DAG-KART day-tickets for public transport- excellent value, an they include local ferries to Nesodden and Bygdoy. There is one at the tram-stop by the Anker.
Norway is VERY EXPENSIVE, not just the booze.
The whole country seems to be BI-LINGUAL with English.
I WISH WE HAD KNOWN ALL THE ABOVE BEFORE WE WENT.
