The breakfast buffet is huge. Because food is so expensive in Oslo it makes sense to make up a roll for your lunch from the great selection of food available at breakfast!
Top Tip:
D. S. Louise (on the Harbour) serves excellent seafood and is a little less expensive than other seafood restaurants along the harbour.
A visit to the Open Air Heritage Museum on Bygdoy (10 mins by ferry from the pier) is well worth it.
Also you can take the 11 or 12 tram to the end of the line (in the north, about 30 mins from city centre), ask for directions to the lake, and then follow the signposted ('Sentrum') path back along the river to the city centre (coming out at the Radisson Plaza). This is about 5 miles, and there are cafes along the way.
